• Members are invited to join The Grapevine, CHN's private email list. Members of this list can attend regular private online chats.
   
• CHN Members are entitled to attend quarterly membership meetings to witness Board of Trustee deliberations. Members are invited to participate in the meetings and express their opinions. CHN members have a voice!
   
• The CHN Board of Trustees is elected by the membership, and members are encouraged to become candidates for the Board.
   
• CHN is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, run by volunteer members. New volunteers are always welcome! Join CHN and make a difference!

• CHN's Legal Defense Fund (LDF) is used for specific cases, controversies or legal issues that may impact all California homeschoolers.
   
• CHN's Legislation Team monitors all new proposed legislation every year, working diligently to preserve homeschooling freedoms.
   
• CHN's Legal Committee provides information and support to homeschooling families. CHN empowers families by helping them to "Know the Code"!
   
• CHN's outreach extends through a system of county Local Contacts, a toll free number and the public CaliforniaHS and CaliforniaHS-calendar e-mail lists. Members and others can interact with CHN by:
