Four special dates of themed programming give your home-schooler lots of educational experiences all in one day!
Discovery Days are designed for families to enjoy science together. Discovery Days include admission, table top demonstrations and a 60-minute interactive classroom. Our programs are aligned with California Science Content Standards. $16 per person non-members; $9 per person members. Additional children and adults who are not participating in the Home School classes receive a discounted rate—$10 Adults and $8 Children for admission. Members must show ID along with membership card for admission to the Center. Discovery Days promotion cannot be combined with any other offer.To register, please call 714-913-5030, weekdays from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Programs are limited to 25 people; advance registration is required. Full payment required at time of registration.

Kick off your school year with this fun annual event. Join homeschoolers from around the world at Disneyland! This event was created by fellow homeschoolers and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Disney. Purchase your admission tickets or annual passes at the Disney web site or through online discounters and drop by wearing your tie dye! Annual Not Back To School group photo will be taken at 2pm at the location listed on the web page.

The Aquarium of the Pacific would like to invite Homeschool networks, students, parents, and teachers to the Aquarium for our Annual Homeschool Days on September 23rd and 24th, 2009. Homeschool groups will receive the group rate of $6 per participant. While the Aquarium will be open to the general public, no classroom-based school trips will be booked during these days. This will allow our educators to bring you ocean related activities and biofacts throughout the Aquarium from 9 a.m.-noon, although you are welcome to explore the Aquarium through the afternoon. These engaging learning stations will allow students of all ages to experiment, investigate, and discover marine habitats and concepts. We hope that you will take this opportunity to come and see what the Aquarium of the Pacific has to offer. Program participation requires advance booking with the Aquarium’s Guest Support Center. Legoland and Sea Life Aquarium

Discount admission rates for self guided tours and instruction are available on select Mondays at Legoland and adjoining Sea Life Aquarium. The 2009 rates are $17 for Legoland, $9 for Sea Life Aquarium and $21 for a park hopper ticket. These prices are for pre-registered homeschool families. Please see the web site for details on how to register and available dates.

Discount prices are offered on select dates for homeschoolers. Check the
web site early in the fall of each year for available dates and prices.

A family homeschool conference that will be held at Disney's
Grand Californian Hotel in Anaheim, California Sept. 13-17,
2009.

Due to requests from homeschoolers, an extra homeschool day
is being offered Wednesday, September 9th, from 11am - 5pm!
The cost is $18.00 per person (all ages 3-64), and Wild Rivers
season passes will be accepted. To purchase tickets, go to:

Guests can then purchase and print their tickets. For more

A Unique Loan Program for Educators
The Members'
Loan Service is perfect for instructional enhancement. A large
collection
of museum quality science specimens, historical objects and models, cultural artifacts, and
Thematic
Teaching Trunks may be borrowed by individuals as one of the many benefits of museum membership.
Loans are available to any adult Museum member or School Loan member (including homeschoolers). *
The Members' Loan Service
can enliven your science discussions or augment your social studies curriculum. Thematic
Teaching Trunks provide a complete unit of study on a variety of science, social science, and
cultural subjects.
There are two ways to become a member of the Museum:
- "Educator" Museum Membership
($40 - tax deductible) entitles individual educators access to:
- FREE admission to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, the George C. Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits, and the William S. Hart Museum (for two adults and 4 children) for one year
- Invitation to members' events (including the annual Members' Open House, where Members can get a behind the scenes look into research, education, and exhibit construction)
- Discounts for Museum programs and shop merchandise
- Subscription to Terra magazine and Naturalist calendar
"School"
Loan Service Membership offers access to the Museum and program borrowing privileges.
FREE to individual schools and homeschoolers. Provides access to the
Members' Loan Service. To become a "School Loan Service" member:
Send a formal signed letter with name, address, phone number, and school
or homeschool organizational/network affiliation preferably on network/institution
letterhead) requesting a "School Loan Service" membership.

the Members' Loan Service for artifact and specimen check-out,
