 Spotlight on EXPO Coordinators

Sandy Hellebrand – Expo Fiber Arts Room Coordinator
Sandy Hellebrand is a 2014 graduate of the Master Spinner program of Olds College. She finds the engineering aspect of spinning and the artistic aspect of it equally intriguing. She enjoys the influence of the textiles of Norway as well as West Africa where she spent formative years as a young woman. She raised German angora rabbits for 5 years and did her in-depth study for the master’s program on angora blends for luxury knitting yarns. She resides in the high desert of southern California with her husband, three kids, 4 chickens, two cats, and one dog. Homeschooled since 2006

Cindy Jaime – Expo Raffle Coordinator
Cindy Jaime is a wife, mother, Girl Scout leader, massage therapist, doula and homeschooling mom to her 2 young daughters.  Homeschooling since 2011, she has settled into an eclectic homeschooling style and enjoys learning and laughing with her family. High on their list of fun things to do are nature hikes, reading, and playing all kinds of games.

SPEAKERS!

We are looking for several different kinds of speakers, including:

• Professional speakers – typically experts on a homeschooling topic.
• Amateur speakers – typically experienced homeschoolers with expertise/passion in a particular area.
• Artists, crafters, technical geeks, etc. – wanting to share a hands-on project in a workshop type environment.

Major emphasis is placed on:

• Homeschooling 101 for beginning homeschoolers (homeschooling philosophies, learning styles, etc.) and
• Homeschooling High School and beyond.

Speaker/Session
